By default, one camera license is already installed on your Surveillance Station. With Synology Camera License Packs, users can set up additional cameras to suit their needs. In this article, you will be guided through the steps of applying license keys on Surveillance Station to set up and manage more than one camera on the network. What do you mean with 'supposed to come with 5 cam licenses'? There is no synology model available with 5 licenses included. If you bought additional licenses, you got a license number that you can enter on surveillance station.
Swift shader 3.0 download free download. Explained what the licenses do, but the inevitable question is 'Why?' The best way I have seen it explained is that you are paying for the continued development of the Surveillance application on a scale that ranges for the use you have. If I'm Joe Average homeowner with two or three cameras, then buying my Synology NAS and having it serve as a surveillance system is a bonus.
I will update this thread when it is sold so that the buyer knows I am not selling to anyone else. I will send you the license key via PM. You're already violating ToS by using XPEnology, so. Thanks, I was under the impression that xpenology was leveraging open source software (or at least not completely proprietary) and not an infringement of Synology license. Is that not so? That's why I was curious about the surveillance package as it is quite clearly an 'add-on' synology sell and should be compensated for. Yes, the Xpenology is really only the Linux kernel with some mechanisms in-place to combat the checks done by the Synology OS, extra drivers and it emulates the device that has serial number. But the real problem starts when you download the PAT file and use the proprietary parts of the Synology OS on the box that wasn't licensed for it.
