Running Diablo 2 Without Cd
ALTERNATIVE -If you have purchased the game and register the keys with your Battle.Net account you can download the game from the site.
In this case, a 'Full Installation' is required, followed by file copy step noted above. Re: Running without CD Bumping this for a little help. I just installed D2 and the expansion on a 2nd computer using a second set of legitimate keys. Install went fine, but where my son is going to be playing on this computer, and he shares it with his sisters, there is a lot of cd switching going on and potentially a lot of mishandling of them. So, I want him to be able to run without the cd. Ebook sugiyono penelitian. I copied all.mpq files from both the LoD disk as well as the D2 play disk to the local Diablo 2 folder, but when I try to run the game sans cd, it doesn't work. It keeps asking to insert the cd.
It plays great. I didn't notice any issues. Any more games in the works? I saw your andriod video of Morrrowind. May I suggest Postal?
Running the game off the virtual drive however still yeilds the promt 'Please insert diablo cd in the disk drive' though taht should read the non-existant disk drive. The iso is still loaded and running in daemon tools lite as if there was an actual disc there, so why am I still getting the instert disk prompt? Clearly I can't insert a disc into a drive that doesn't exist but I would really like to play the original diablo on my laptop.
Re: Running without CD For users that originally performed a 'Full Installation' and wish to run without the CD, all '.MPQ' files should be copied from the Diablo 2 CDs to the Diablo 2 directory. Most users will only need to copy D2Music.mpq from the Diablo 2 Play CD and/or D2xMusic.mpq from the Lord of Destruction CD. Mac users will need to copy these music files and rename them to 'Diablo II Music' and 'Diablo II Expansion Music' respectively. Anyone who did not perform a 'Full Installation' will need to re-install from CD again to ultimately play without the CD.
Default is C: Program Files Diablo II 6: Just paste them in. You should now be able to play without a disk!!!

Install Diablo 2 Without Cd
Jun 27, 2001 How do I play without the CD? I've moved all of the.mpq files on the LoD disk to the Diablo II directory, yet it still says that I need a disk. I've followed the directions given by blizzard, yet I still can't get it to work. This is how to do it: insert your lod CD, go to Windows explorer to this Computer. You will see your Diablo icon, right click at the icon and click open. You will see 3 map's and some files, copy all the.MPQ files to your Diablo II (it's c:/program files/Diablo II here. And you are done! Get your CD out and test it. From the Diablo II play CD, you will need to copy the file D2MUSIC.MPQ to your Diablo II installation folder (normally C: Program files Diablo II) - If you also have the expansion installed, you will also need to copy the D2XMUSIC.MPQ from your Expansion CD and place this in your Diablo II folder as well.
